MRI Superconducting Magnet Control System

At the heart of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging system is a superconducting magnet that provides the required intense magnetic field. These magnets require monitoring and precise control of cryogenic temperature, pressure and safety systems.

Via Technology has designed and programmed a variety of systems to control, monitor, and service MRI magnets. This includes modules that mount directly to the magnet, are installed in the equipment room, or used as portable field service equipment. To accomplish this requires a combination of precise low voltage measurements, cryogenic temperature measurements, embedded device control, networking, and a variety of communications protocols. These solutions provide autonomous closed-loop control systems that can be monitored and adjusted by the host controlling system.
